HP200lx - a brief demo written 8/99 to induce co-worker interest....     A backlight modification is now available for the venerable HP200lx.
Can't afford Sony's AIBO? A cheaper alternative is i-Cybie, originally by Tiger Electronics, but now from Silverlit Electronic. From the manual: "i-Cybie is the first TRUE robotic pet! .... The 4-pound i-Cybie dog is made of 1,400 parts and over 90 feet of wire. There is a powerful artificial intellligence computer and a bunch of smart buttons that allows this little character to do everything but taste and smell. But the truly incredible part of i-Cybie is the dog's personality."   i-Cybie has sensors that allow it to walk around, and can be controlled by an IR remote, buttons on it, clap commands, or voice commands. i-Cybie can also perform tricks (e.g. scratch his ear, dance, give his paw, beg, do a head stand, "pee", etc.) Find out more at www.silverlit.com
